Millard's website is http://www.crimron.net/ It gives his e-mail
as andrew [at] crimron.net
Does this mean the plans for Caroc cards have proceeded to the
point where you want to ask about including the CMO rules?

Thanks for that!
Asked them _ages_ ago (poss ten years ago) but, as there is once again
the possibility that the Caroc might be a tiny dot on the horizon again,
I wanted to get in touch again!

When we thought about printing cards in Germany[1] we've updated the old
rules based on playing experience and made our own card set which indicates
the possible use of The (eight) Modifiers[2] by naming them on the cards. In
our experience the updated rules are easier to learn and more fun to play.
Samples of those cards can be viewed here:
http://www.ankh-morpork.de/index.php?seite=4215
We already have a new back cover and some designs for new front pages (and a
list of new pictures) but are not going to work on them during the next few
month.
[1] We stoped that plan because Colin Smythe told us some UK publisher was
discussing to print cards on their own.
[2] Yes, 8. It seemed more appropriate and some of The Modifiers went
straight into the basic rules where they should be, leaving us with exactly
8 Modifiers.
Yours, Jens

Thanks - can I state *publicly* that I have not visited this site and
will not visit it until our own plans for the Caroc set have been
concluded.

:-(
Go on, look or even steal from there ;-) You are still one of our honorary
members.
I'd be pleased to see the updated rules shiped with your cards. (and would
take the time to translate the differences back into English for you and
everybody else here)

Does it have to be that many? Oh well, up to you - but rather you than me.

The original rules had 12 modifiers. They are optional. We figured that some
of them should'nt be optional. But most of them are fun for the experienced
player ;-)

12 would be fine.
So would 11.
So would 10.
So would 9.
So would 7.
So would 6.
So would 5.
Etc.
I'm just curious as to why you chose twice four. 7a, so to speak.

Naturally, she desires the end of the world. Why else would she use (or
even just mention) the number between 7 and 9 in a Discworld context?

You seem to desire YOUR end. Why else would you call me a "she"? ;-)
It was just a lucky coincident that the inclusion of some of the Modifiers
left us with 7+1 Modifiers.

My apologies I didn't know, and a random guess since I find using 'they'
for a single person is weird to me.
